Thoughts and Planning for 2025

"Fail To Plan, Plan to Fail"... as always that is the first phrase that comes to mind. Started writing some stuffs down last month and knowing 2025 will still be pegged to a few  key things that I have been religiously doing these last 2.5 years. Call it my FPI... Fitness Performance Index
2024 can be considered a year of trials and experiments nestled within daily workouts. Some of which led to things I have not thought of before. Some, after trying out became "Eureka" moments. Rather than writing another long winded post trying to document everything, let's get to what 2025 is projected to look like.
2025 "Daily Salad Menu" as of 03 Jan, 10:33 a.m.
Of course first and foremost I must repeat on the "Daily Salad of Reps and Mileage". Numbers again remain mostly similar to last year, but as mentioned in December Reflection- intensity and difficulty level will be upped by the variations involved. No fixed number but definitely prioritizing harder variations and pushing on strict forms even more for everything.
  • Pull   : Weighted Pulls > Ring Pulls > B.W. Pulls
  • Push  : Ring PushUp , Diamonds & Pikes > Standard PushUp
  • Dips :  Weighted Dips , Ring Dips > B.W. Dips
  • Squat: Zerchers, Unilateral > B.W. Squats
  • Run:    Focus on 2.4km, 5km and 10km timing
Pullup my number one key exercise is the exception, dropped it from 10,000 to 8,000 this year. Why? --- look over to the right, Muscleups (MU) is now at 700. A heuristic approach to calculating is using
1MU = 3 Strict PullUp...
that brings me back to 10,100 Pullups assuming there is no Muscleup this year. It is impractical to keep adding more and spending additional time to finish up. Realistically life has to be a balance, an equilibrium to achieve, when there is addition there has to be something subtracted. If both exercises hits and exceeds the set quota, like last year, where 10K pullup ended up as 11,111 and 150 MU was finalized at 181 I'll take that as bonus strength gain reps.

The Big Picture
In general, other than prioritizing strength gains over hypertrophy the objective is an ever increasing emphasis on Functional/ Combat Fitness level. I added the word "Combat" of course not expecting to be carrying a rifle again... but this part of the equation is just gonna be frigging mental!  Took a few months to convince myself that this is how I'm gonna equate with 2025 training and am COMMITTED by now.

Then there is of course a sh!tload of other stuff just scribbled down but yet to be formalized into a fully structured table.

Scrolling back up to this draft sheet in my tracking log-- I saw the periodic testing of things that were set out in Sep 2023... modifying, updating and adding on as appropriate now. This table is dynamic, it will keep changing as the months go along but basically 75% should still be similar by the end of the year.
